At Verve Credit Union, I'm working as an AI intern focused on one thing: turning AI from a buzzword into a productivity multiplier for real employees. My job is to understand where people are spending time on work that shouldn't require human effort — and then build the workflows to hand that off to AI.
The core stack is Microsoft Copilot Agents, Copilot Chat, and Cowork. I design agent-based automations for tasks like document summarization, data lookup, email drafting, and internal Q&A — then work directly with the teams using them to make sure the tools actually fit into their day.
The role has pushed me to think like a systems designer. It's not just about knowing what AI can do; it's about understanding the human workflow first, finding the bottlenecks, and building something that the person on the other end will actually use. The blend of technical build work and stakeholder communication has been one of the most practically valuable experiences I've had.
